Well America, it would seem that I was right, prisoners really DON'T have rights. My stand- by attorney informed me that they've been recording my phone calls, and that there's one or two that they plan to use against me in court. Can you believe this shit?

It's now, to the day, 2 weeks until trial...and, since they're already fully aware of every word I speak and every move I make, I may as well give you all I have, as well. Let's begin with this...not that we didn't know this already:  They move on to trial? They're screwed, and on so many levels too. I don't think Ms. Lane is even sure what she's up against, as yet. She thinks she knows enough from the Tromblay fiasco... but 'twould seem she needs some additional study time. No, Ms. Linda Lane, you've seen little to nothing at this point. And the micro-railroad job is, because of all of your most illegal actions, on it's way to federal court, due to the charge of "Fraud upon the Court".

Let's move to the Witness List, where they work, and the number of questions I have for each. We're looking at 18-20 hours of witness time for the defense. I'm thinking a verdict will come a week from the trial's start, Monday April 11th, on the 18th, and will be followed quickly by lot of arrests of the folks on this list, and enough lawsuits to last me an eternity. There will be, I'm sure, at least one or two more added, as soon as we lay fingers on who Jeannie Munson's son or sons are. Since he, or they threatened my life, online, and mentioned Jeanne Munson being the mother, he/they will be going to a jail right along with their mother and her convict boyfriend, Mark Worthington.  Jeanne will, more than likely, lose her cushy job at John Deere (thank you Altoona Police Department, for not blacking that out)  after I tell them what this criminal is capable of; besides, I'm pretty sure they're not going to be too keen on conspirators and 1st degree harassers.

But let's not dwell on only what happens to those who brought these ridiculous charges; because this will be so much bigger than that, America.  Nope, this is about, and will accomplish so much more.  This, as you well know, is not just about me. This is about to be a landmark case, my friends.  There is nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide.  The Polk County Courthouse only has so many rooms, there are only so many sheriffs and wayyyy too many people who are going  to want to know what's going on. Sealing the court records are not going to work THIS time.  News teams from everywhere will be invited, fans are coming,and it won't be to see me get railroaded again, I will guarantee you that. It will instead be to see justice done, to those of Iowa and this country's real criminals, those in elected office.

The ultimate goal here, of course, will not only be to get justice for me and my family, it will be to set a precedent; to show these criminals that just because they were able to hide their crimes on the confidential record initially, doesn't mean we won't figure out a way to bring it out and expose those crimes another way, eventually.  Funny thing about criminals - always thinking they're too smart to get caught, and then WHAM-O!  Down the tubes they go.  And what do you know, I just happen to have a big old tube all emptied out and ready to go, with all 30 of mine enemies' names written all over the damn thing.  This is gonna be a whole lotta fun; as well as something I've been waiting for, for a very, very, long time.

Because I'm really a very nice guy... deep down that is, as long as criminals aren't stealing my children for no discernable reason anyway; I'm going to be really swell, and show these idiots where it is they messed up.

First, the testimony and sworn to narrative of Altoona's finest is full of holes and 90% absolutely ridiculous. 2nd, the County Attorney's are using only two of the 21 messages they supposedly  received. Why? Because the rest make the real criminals here look guilty. 3rd, they're going to use my conversations from the jail, to my wife and select few others. The problem here, with this, is two-fold. First, there has to be a chargeable offense committed on the phone to be able to use it as evidence.  Second, the majority of my phone calls were made PRIOR to them reading you miranda, stating they will be used against you. Last, but not least, no crime was ever committed by me on the phone. I believe we'll have no issues getting them thrown out. Even if they're allowed, the worst thing they have is me getting frustrated with my wife because she's not as tech-savvy as I am. Do I look worried? 'Cause I'm not.

Fourth,  I have more than enough evidence to tie Jeannie Munson to her fake, harrassing, libelous profile, that of Janet Wilson Johnson, which she used to badmouth me for two or three full months between September 2015 and December 2015. Funny how the entire profile, as well as my former group just up and vanished, as well as all conversations between myself, Jeannie Munson and Mark Worthington, as well as all the phony profiles they made with which to harrass me with. Too bad for the prosecution, though, little did anyone know, that just prior to New Year's, and just prior to my first arrest, I made two COMPLETE backups of everything on my Facebook profile, something I had JUST learned you could do... including your entire timeline, all of your photos, friends, messages, blocklist...EVERYTHING!!  Any harassment of me is right where I need it to be, well out of reach of the county attorney's office.

Finally, the biggest error of all about to be made by the County Attorney's Office will be when they count on the relevance objection, while I put our entire juvenile case into the public record.  See, they believe they will be able to stop this, because they'll claim it isn't relevant to the case.  The Juvenile case is the single reason I have a record of harassment at all. I met the plaintiff at the start of it.  Every witness of mine was involved in my harassment cases in some way. Though obscure at times, the relevance still very much exists. I have  done my homework; all relevance objections will be overcome, or bias against the defendant will be very prevalent, as well as very obvious.

America, fear not. This game of chicken will end in the defendant's favor; and the games of Polk County, as they fight to keep the truth hidden have all been played and seen before, thanks to Judge Price. Because they chose their most corrupt judge right off the bat, when they took out daughter from us and terminated our rights, no deceit is now possible, all their tricks have already been played.  Now, it's time they pay the piper. America will demand to be witness, or there will be boots at the door.

Once again, I invite you. Please be there. If not for me, to show this filth that we have had enough. I have unlocked a very large and prominent door, I have flung it open wide, and have shown you all the way.  Take a day off; Our time is now. I am not on trial here, they are, and this will be your opportunity to witness and be a part of real history. Moreover, you'll be able to bear witness that what we do CAN, WILL and DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! Come on down America! We'll all be there, will you?  Come.  I triple dog dare you!!

Hey kids, it's me again. Yes, I'm still in Polk County Jail. The game of Chicken is still on, and it looks like it's to the death. 

They made a plea today. 2 years probation, mental reconditioning back to the Matrix (Mental Evaluation AND Mental Treatment... like the drug evaluation, it kinda sounds like they already know what the results of the evaluation are going to be, doesn't it?), 80 hours of community service, restitution (for...what exactly??) Another drug evaluation (and treatment...again, for all the drugs I don't do), VORP, 5 years, no contact order... anything else? No thanks. I think I'd rather go to prison, if that's the end result. 46 months at the most, is what I'm being told. Sure, if I take the deal, I'd be free...but at what cost? First, I'd have 4-3rd degree harassment (convicted), and a 1st degree harassment, stalking and threats on my record. My chances of getting a decent job anywhere? Next to zero. 2nd, with that kind of record, they can keep doing it and doing it, and everytime they arrest me, they can get more and more money. Anytime they don't like what I'm doing, BAM... call out the troops and screw me some more. Nope. Not gonna happen.

3rd, you know the hoop game, Find them mental, keep em coming in for federal funding. Same with the need for drug treatment. And the probation game? No thanks. I'd say 50% or better of the people in jail are in on bogus probation violations.  Again I say, no thanks, I pass.

Finally, why am I doing this again? I'd plea out, and be free...and go home, and give up I'd be letting myself down, I'd be letting my wife down and I'd be letting my daughter down. More than that, I'd be letting America down. Sorry, freedom isn't worth all that.

Moreover, the crooks would win... and there's no way I'll ever let that happen, America. This trial isn't just for us. It's for us all. For my family...for every man and woman I'm incarcerated with...and for every citizen in this county. It's time to stand against those who oppress us, once and for all.

Quit? Are you serious? Whatever it takes America. I think I've said it often enough; I'm willing to pay the price for freedom, even if the price is the loss of my own. Don't quit. Quitting does not equal winning. A plea deal is a cop out. No matter how good it might look to breath the free air again, you're just graduating from a cell to more chains. Most of all, your oppressors win...again. It has to stop, or it's as good as your saying "It's ok to ruin my life...please stop back by and do it again, anytime you like." As ridiculous as what I'm doing might seem now, the war is lost the minute I take their terms. Should a jury of my peers say I'm guilty, then I'll do what I must. And when I'm released, my time will be done, my conscience clear. More than that, when my daughter comes to find me, I'll able to look her in the eye to tell her that I never gave up on her. That, to me?  Makes it all worth it. Pray for them, not for me. They rank in the already damned. I just want my family back. And I won't give up until I get it. Namaste.

Addendum: I won't be taking the plea. I'm taking the risk. My lawyer (stand - by council) believes we have a good chance to beat the whole case back, and come out with one serious misdemeanor, and a little more jail time. Call this taking one for the team.

Braving The Banjo, Revisited

Hey America, It's almost time. We are about to go for the jury trial, where it is my full intention to expose the wickedness of Polk County to the world. Here, included below, are two things:

1. The opening statement to the jury. Be sure and spread this around to others, and let's say this in every court in the country; in front of every jury we can.

2. I am going to try my best to give you the EXACT TIME AND DATE of this trial by Jury, but you know at least from my past experiences with Polk County that they will do all they can muster up the manpower to keep America's nose out of their business... and I mean their REAL business...not their personal one. Be advised that I fully intend to include the National Liberty Alliance in keeping an eye on these criminals as well. It promises to be a fun time.

I do, hereby, invite... well, EVERYONE to attend. I will be inviting several news teams and more to our little te da te, believe it. It will be quite the party. In it, I have filed over 140 pieces of of evidence, and have invited over 40 witnesses, and 28 of those are elected officials.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury:

Let the record of this court show that this is NOT the case of Jeannie Munson A.K.A., the State of Iowa v. Christopher William Bruce, as much as it is the case of Polk County, Iowa and the State of Iowa v. Christopher the Living Man; a sovereign national; not a U.S. Citizen, born dead, and chattel of the United States Incorporated Governmental Services Corporation; but a State Citizen, fully priveledged under the Republic's Constitution FOR the United States of America.

Today " The State of Iowa" presents, not only in the position of "Plaintiff", a party to this case, but also is presented to be the Trier-of-fact, the Prosecution for the case, as well as the partial defender for the case, a flagrant conflict of interest. They will attempt to prove to you that the defendant in this case broke the people's law, in  that he did allegedly stalk, harass and threaten to kill and burn Jeanne Munson's house down with her inside of it, all of a sudden, out of the blue, for no legitimate, discernable or fathomable reason or purpose, from 85 miles away, with no vehicle, no weapon, or ammo, no gas or gas cans, no bombs or bomb-making materials or the skills necessary to produce such "incindiary devices"; after knowing the plaintiff for over a year and a half, in one selected 48 hour period.

My intent, Ladies and Gentleman of the Jury, will be to show this court, for the record, that Polk County, Iowa, and the State of Iowa, in recent collusion with DHS of Carroll County Iowa and the Department of Children and Family Services of Los Angeles County, California, are involved in a RICO action against this defendant and other American citizens; and that this case and others that I am CURRENTLY involved in are just a few of thousands of cases being fraudulently brought against American citizens, in this country, and against other citizens in other countries around the world, in a last concerted effort to fleece humanity of it's wealth, it's standing, it's weapons, it's supposed "rights" and property, as well as what little remaining "Freedom" it is still in possession of; as well as to stop the spread of the truth of what they are doing more and more everyday... one citizen's case at a time, and one Military Tribunal Venue at a time.

I will, on the record of this court, also show that Jeanne Munson is one of many paid provocateurs and internet trolls; whose sole intent and purpose it is to infiltrate, divide and silence those of us who speak out in truth against "The System", as well as "The State of Iowa" and it's most heinous crime to date against it's citizens, the equivelant of the "Death Penalty" for parents, the legal kidnapping of their children, the termination of their inherent right to parent, and the adoption of those children to others, constituting the crime of Child Trafficking by means of the Iowa Code and those currently elected to office around this state; which, thanks to those like myself and others, is in danger of being exposed, all around this country  and around the world.

I would hope, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, that by the time this trial has ended, you will finally realize and recognize this action against this defendant for what it really is; an act of legal retribution against this defendant; to put him away for as long as is possible for crimes he is not guitly of and in order to shut him up once and for all. Find this defendant, Christopher the Living Man, NOT GUILTY and have him released from his intended burial ground in the Iowa State Prison system untill 2025, so that he can coutinue to fight for Iowa and America's citizens in an effort to get THEM released from their intended prisons as well. THE TURNING OF THE SCREW PART 1- THE BRUCE BITCH LIST

Well  kids, it's been decided. It's time to stop being concerned about me. It would seem that the world and my wife are going to have to learn to get on without me.

Does the war stop there? Am I done for? You're joking...right? Not  a chance! Nope, if anything, the war goes up some more notches. Corruption and evil will never win out. Not while I draw breath...and you know it. So, it's time we get it on, and quickly too, before this railroad job goes too far.

To start with, a new team shall be appointed to take on where I left off. Obviously, I poked the beast where it hurts, or Theo Booker and I would not be in it's belly paying the price...and you know what that means, don't you?

We're on the right track with what I did, so let's do it some more, but this time without casualties of war, O.K.? Folks, there are people that are strong that are going get taken out first, and have been. There isn't going to be a lot we can do about that. The thing is we have to do is make sure we don't screw up like I did.and step out of line. Oh, believe me, those who lie and deceive others will get their come-uppance. You know who you are, and if not,allow me to be the one to remind you...wherever I am.

Therefore, we begin a new and improved war strategy. No more,will our plans be public knowledge, before or after. A new and improved "psycho" warfare has begun.

In case you're wondering just what is as that brought new fire to my eyes? I will relate to you the first five minutes of today's court circus ONLY. That should be enough.

I'm waiting for my "trial" to start, and guess who comes in without his robe on, but Judge William "Asshole" Price himself. After he locked eyes with me; while I sat in greens and chains; I watched his mouth turn up in a partial sneer. As he disappeared from the doorway, I heard the parting comment as sure if he had whispered it in my ear - as he spoke to my judge from their chambers. He said "Go get him. This will be a piece of cake"

You know, after that comment, as well as the railroad job that followed, it became very clear what I had to do. Not only do I not stop fighting... now, the "list" just gets longer, and the net to catch the evil-doers is just going to have to be cast wider... and smarter.

So, as my first smart move? This story and the very personal letter that goes with it, leaves in the personnal effects of someone who knows they're leaving; away from the prying eyes of PCJ, who reads everything sent by the residents of the jail to the outside world. Deprive me of ALL of my rights? Fuck all of 'em.

Why "fini" you ask? Because it's time to finish this war, once and for all. 3 things will happen, A.S.A.P.

1. I will be released, probably before April Fool's Day... if not sooner.

2. The people who filed charges on me will be jailed instead.

3. Trial for the charges against me; finishing Polk County and it's corruption for good, will happen on April 11th, 2016, at the Polk County Courthouse, 500 Mulberry Des Moines, IA 50309. It will probably last for a week, MINIMUM, and promises to be the media circus of the year. 

4. Charges against the city of Des Moines, Polk County, and the State of Iowa will be filed, in Federal Court, and will be heard. and taken to the Supreme Court, or things are about to get oogly.

I am going to email between 1-5000 media sources around the county. The story I've been telling so far wasn't enough for Iowa's news to take the risk to tell, but added to my current chapter and the way I plan to expose what this county has done to my family and the rest of Iowa; I will not only put this state on the map; I will be ending a very long nightmare for a good deal of Iowa's current residents, and inmates, as well as my own family's nightmare.

February 29th, 2016 - Judge William Kelly, Dismiss All Charges

Well, America, here is the letter I used Monday. Hopefully, it freed me, and I'm on my way home. Anyone that would like to write the judge, please write:

                                 Your honor, I choose, first to speak outright;

This is not a case of Jeanne Munson A.K.A. The state against the defendant, in as much as it is Polk County, A.K.A. the state of Iowa against the defendant. From the day this defendant first stood against Polk County and this state in the stead of his wife,Elizabeth Bruce, when CPS/DHS illegally and unlawfully stole our daughter from us at Methodist Hospital a year and a half ago this county,as  the state, has conspired and colluded together to arrest me on harassment charges on 4 separate occasions; first, back in September of 2014 , again in Feb. of 2015, then again 2x, in January of this year. Your honor, DHS's own director cleared us of all allegations, took us off the Child Abuse Registry, and stated they should have never taken our child, and yet the courts of the state of Iowa continue to keep our child from us her rightful  parents, and still refuse to reinstate our parental rights. Since, because of this injustice to this date, I have opted to convey this crime to the citizens of Iowa, and Polk County claiming to represent the state of Iowa, has chosen, rather than do the right thing, to instead ruin this father's good name taint his record, and is now trying to shut him up and put him away for good, using whatever catalyst that presents, this crime should be presented against Polk County and the state of Iowa, NOT the other way around.

Before 2 years ago, this defendant had no real record to speak of, save a 30 day stint in Polk County for non-payment of child support, after which I paid $16,000 in back support to ensure it would never happen again. Never  in this defendant's 55 years of life has there ever been violence of any kind even brought against this defendant. Opportunities have abounded for this defendant, even while incarcerated to continue to harass those who had him arrested, and he has not done so.

All this defendant asks is that his daughter be restored to her rightful parents; in accordance to Iowa Law as well as God's law, and all of this will be no more. I pray his honor dismiss these charges against the defendant, or we can bring this corruption  of Polk  County to the open record, April 11th, 2016.

Braving the Banjo, Part IX

Well America? Yesterday, for 30 minutes, I stood in front of a judge to discuss the denial of my pro se rights, and for 20 minutes of that, the judge attempted to talk me out of defending myself and getting an attorney.   'Magine that.

For the extent of my stay, thus far, we have discussed the jail, as well as the "Laws" that have caused my "stay" here; so now I think it's time we discuss two closely related subjects and their roles, not only in my little play, but in the lives of the remainder of the American Citizenry, and around the world; Conditioning and fear.

In order for rules, ordinances, codes and statutes to work, hard forwhere relieving America of the things they have worked havd for are concerned, takes subversity, and more importantly, conditioning. Certain core "facts" need to be put into place and set in stone for this conditioning to work properly. Key values, time-honored sayings and psuedo-propaganda is imperative to sneak "Laws" into place that tend to better serve the positions and wallets of those in all levels of government; as well as make life difficulft for the "undesirables" who line the bottom crust of the "American Pie"; the "lower class." These generally tend to include the beautifully challenged, the economically depressed, the mentally and physically handicapped, the unemployed, the elderly, the addicted, the naive, and those who challenge "the system".

Let's take an example from my recent experience, While I awaited my court hearing yesterday, I was in the company of a young man who had been slapped, not with only a single No Contact Order concerning a single person, but 40 no contact orders concerning that same person. To better explain what I'm presenting here, when this man is arrested, he is not charged once for violating a single no contact order.  Bond is set with all 40 violations ($5000x40=$200,000), and his sentencing (40x7 days for a first time violation, for example, would be 280 days of jail time.

America, I can honestly say that this person's only crime (Mr. Nussbaum...I promised the man a shout out) was ignorance of the law; as well as naivete in believing that his attorney (who has spoken to this young man little to none, and done just about as much in his "best interest")  was there to assist him in his case. For this single violation coupled with a single parole violation? They offered him 10 more years in prison. He had just been released from ANOTHER ten years in prison, and had been clean and doing very well for over 4 years.

Here is where "conditioning" comes in.  "Ignorance of the law is no excuse", "you can't fight City Hall." One of my favorites, "It is what it is", and just to justify it for your moral compass, "He got what he deserved", " don't do the crime if you can't do the time", and, finally, good riddance to bad rubbish, eh"? Amongst inmates, you're convinced everyone is either lying or leaving out something about their cases that show them as OBVIOUSLY guilty of whatever crime they've been accused of, and among those same inmates and the C.O.'s (Corredtional Officers) who watch over them, EVERYONE clams innocence, even if they did do it. Because of this "conditioning", then, everyone put in jail obviously belongs there, and all are apparently guilty. I've run across inmate after inmate who is sure they and others are there because they broke the law...period. No thought to the laws themselves or the circustances given, just solid, immovable belief that they did wrong, and they will pay that price for it regardless of fair or unfair.

This "conditioning", having been put on the American People their entire lives by those in power, has worked wonders; and has served quite well in keeping the "undesirables" of the human race put away, most for good.

This conditioning also works well in creating our other topic, fear. Fear plays a big part in conditioning; and conditioning can bring in fear, so they play well together. Again, because we're on the subjects of prisons, jails, and the "guilty" they house, we'll squeeze our examples from this arena, once more.

To start with, I have more then most, pushed my finger on the "news" (propaganda, these days) as being the #1 cause of fear in this country. Next, we have distrust, and because of that, fear of our" Government" and what they can do, fear of law enforcement and the powers they're given, all done via "conditioning"

There are, though, other more subversive ways to accomplish these things; ways that we don't think of; advertising. T.V., movies and Schools, probably the biggest destructive force in our way of thinking. It's quite scary how we are shaped and molded into being good little slaves, isn't it?

America, everything you eat, breath, see, think and say is used to condition you, keep you in line, brainwash you into believing things are just fine the way they are, and to keep you doing only what those in power want you to do, and nothing more. Anything more than this leads you into a literal minefield of "Laws"  meant to keep you on a not-so-necessarily straight and true path of goodness and virtue, but in reality is more a bumpy, crooked and cracked road steeped in illusion, meant to keep you dead set in the class you were born into, of which there are only 3 - The rich and wonderful, the forever busy and naive,or the unsuccessful dregs of society; aka the guinea pigs and targets of the first and highest class, while the middle class just jets along, too busy to see what's really going on under their very noses, The only time they see what's what, is when it comes onto their front lawns and breaks down their doors.  Worse yet, they still don't perceive the full impact of what's going on until the damage is done.

The best example of this, of course, is my own. I was a good little sleeping sheep, driving along the highway of life, in the middle lane with my blinders on, and WHAM! Child Protective Services, whom we're taught to believe only takes children and involves themselves in the lives of those parents that are bad (or in bad need of improvement), came and kidnapped our child for NO viable reason, broke several laws doing it, then proceeded to terminate our rights and gave our child away; under the guise that it wasn't their intent to ever do what they had planned to do from day one. And because  America has been "conditioned" to believe that if social workers are in your life, you did something wrong...when in fact, they came into your life because of that "conditioned" belief, then hid what they did, by keeping it confidential, "In the best interest of the child"

Folks, it's said that the truth shall set you free. I say, that depends on who you are, what you're saying, and who you're saying it to. I may be in jail. I may be guilty. But here's the trick - it hasn't stopped me. I'm still here. I'm destroying them from the inside, that's the only difference now. Just like Christ's disciples, I can spread truth, free or not. And not unlike Christ, you'll have to kill me to shut me up. In or out, you can, without question, count on one thing: Until my daughter is back in our arms, I will continue the blog and the war until my last dying breath.

What I do want to do is say this: No matter what happens to me, America, don't you dare give up. Do not be afraid do not shut up, and do not ever stop. You shut up, they win. It may not seem like it today,but evil is losing the war. Jeanne Munson and her convict, who threatened to kill me as well, have  lost their wars, so they will try and make you lose yours too. Keep pushing America. I won my case against DHS, and the courts are next. Even if they railroad me,the worst they can put me away for is 9 years, and I'll still come out fighting. Evil and their soldiers cannot push their darkness over the light of truth.

COURTS UPDATES: Court Hearing for my motion to have all charges dismissed: 11 a.m., Feb. 29,2016.

March 3rd, 2016 2nd harassment 3rd Darren Tromblay, CityView Editor Charges will be dismissed.

April 11th, Jury Trial, charges WILL be dismissed, prior to trial.

As you folks are already well aware of,  I have no problem whatsoever putting out my court strategy. So lets get it on.

If my hearing on the 29th doesn't work out, it's fine...because the Jeanne Munson case will be dismissed before the 11th of April...and here's why:

The officer's testimony is full of holes and hearsay. Jeannie Munson's allegations are absolutely ridiculous. There are Mark Worthington's Voice mails, text messages under a fake name in facebook, but that tie perfectly to the Jeanne Munson timeline.

Finally there's this: Polk County isn't about to let everything they've done to me over the last year in a half go on public record. Trust me when I say, this will NEVER GO TO TRIAL!

I got this America. *winks*

Rules, Ordinances, Codes and Statutes (ROCS)

Hey kids, It's me again, still in the "Polky" with a severe case of writer's cramp, and a dash of carpal tunnel to keep things interesting. Erasers are non-stardard equipment, and pens are contraband. Remember those never-sharpened standard issue golf pencils you get at golf courses everywhere? That's all your allowed to have here. After 2 sharpens, your pencil is gone. Needless to say, I have a full-tilt collection of 20+, always sharp and at the ready.

Anyway, since I'm dead center in No Rights Land, this may just be a great time to address this topic where the rest of you are concerned. Since I've already attacked this on several paths throughout this blog, we'll visit the remaining options today;  Rules Road, Ordinance Overlook, Code Court, and Statute Street; or as I like to refer to them, the 4 Highways to Hell.  We'll just call them ROCS for short...you know, to save space, as well as my left pencil paw.

Since the subversive appearance of these "Laws" in our society things have gotten progressively worse.  Like overgrown thick shrubbery, ROCS make life difficult, un-surmountable and un-enjoyable, at best. Where passage used to exist, leaf clusters block the rest of your progress in our very limited existence.  These supposed protectors of your life's quality have not only blocked out the world's evil-doers, they have now blocked your exit out as well. At this point in our history, ROCS are best ripped from the ground and replanted anew; in favor of being trimmed back, only to return twice as thick and tall in the spring.

Sadly, ROCS were begun and put into place with good intent, but have since, grown into a way to bring in revenue and produce and keep jobs, generally at the expense of the very citizens they were put in place to serve. The biggest problem with ROCS is that they aren't public knowledge unless you're either an avid fan of sifting through law digests, legislative transcripts and boring senatorial bills...or until they affect you directly.   Part B of that is, it generally, won't affect you directly... until you're ticketed, fined, or worse, arrested for violating them.

Crazy thing, though, in the case of tickets and fines, we simply open our wallets and just pay and pay; never giving a wince over the thought of the parking ticket that used to be $5, but is now $25. Generally, prices tend to be more sneaky in their rise, unless it's been the same rate for years, in which case we tend to be more tolerant of a sharp increase. We don't fight, not only because we don't have the time to, but also because it often costs more to fight it then it does to pay it. This is how Iowa's seat belt tickets went from $21 at their inception, to $156 today. Are you feeling that "ping" in your wallet finally?

Those arrested for violating ROCS pretty much share similar fates. Once arrested they bond out quickly, then accept plea bargains of "deals", which tends to lead them to believe they're getting the best of the state, when in fact, they're simply falling into the trap, and building up a light record with which the state can later bring more serious crimes against you.

Of course, this means more revenue at a later time. When lower crimes graduate to more serious ones, through the "3 strikes" ROCS, they ultimately produce life-long criminals out of some, due to their inability to find work (often because of their records) and their inability to adapt to that inability.

Here's the deal, America, and I really don't know how many more times I have to say this; It doesn't have to be like this. It used to be that we dealt with those around us, in our own ways, when the need arose. Unless you or your property is damaged by another, there remains no need for the countless "laws" passed to keep us from truly enjoying what little life we have to live; and no need for those who enforce (or force) and shove those laws down our throats because George has a problem with the walnuts that fall from your gigantic shade tree into your yard. Save to make those who pass hundreds of ROCS every year to make our cities, counties, states and country more money, they cost us more of our life, liberty and our pursuit of true happiness everyday.

BravingThe Banjo, Part VIII - Polk County Jail

Polk County Jail

Well kids, 'twould appear that, once again, those of Iowa DHS/CPS, The County Attorney for Polk County, IA, and 8,416 L.A. County social workers in California aren't very thrilled with my actions of late. I am, after just a day of freedom, right back in state custody again. This time, they tossed in one felony charge, to be sure I don't get out quite so easily. 

Now, I feel it's no longer enough for me to just expose the corruption and utter lawlessness of Polk County Iowa's elected officials, now I also intend to expose their methodology as well, where destroying America's Citizen's lives are concerned, in absolute horrific disregard for the havoc they create in dealing with their fellow man, all in the name of profit and greed.

What the majority of the rest of America fails to understand is, that "the system" isn't here to punish wrongdoers and protect law-abiding citizens anymore: it's NEW function is now to produce a steady stream of revenue,and serves more to create, hold and feed off of these "criminals", than it does to rehabilitate them, or prevent them from being "criminals" in the future.

For now, I will not be presenting viable "solutions" to this particular American issue, mostly because, like so many other serious irreparable issues that America endues, I feel that this one in particular is definitely one of those that deserves nothing less then total deconstruction, then a RE-construction.... from the ground up.

In order to accomplish their anti-Constitutional behaviors and agendas, our Government has now enlisted the assistance of out lopsided one-way codes, rules and statutes on all legal levels. The net to catch people "breaking the law" is so wide now, that it has become meaningless, as well as has become absolutely ridiculous in its enforcement of these illegal "laws". A little girl picking daises on the sidewalk could be found to be in violation of the law, and made into a hardened criminal before she turns 6, should the wont be there to do so. Each and every thought, word, and body motion is, these days, almost in need of full analysis before execution for one or more minutes, in order to make sure no law is broken, these days. A judges favorite phrase is "ignorance of the law is no excuse", putting the responsibility on "We the People" to keep up with the 5,000 laws they pass every month. Whether you are guilty or innocent matters no more, and matters such as "are you employed" or "how much money do you make" are now the priority. Unfortunates who have little to no money, and no knowledge of their rights and the law are preferred targets, for these are the people who say the least, and want out of their prison the most, and therefore are the most likely to go along with whatever happens; and their court appointed attorneys, of course, allow this.  The demographic of unfortunate victims of late hardly define the phrase "Lawbreakers" at all.

These  unfortunates have fallen victim to an entirely new brand of crime spree, meant to not only accomplish the time honored act of fleecing certain less success-oriented citizens of these United States; it has been used, of late, to accomplish other more arduous tasks of our current Administration as well, such as disarming the American People (by finding them criminal in other things, then taking their weapons or land/property in a search), or to put away those who would expose their corrupt acts and lawbreaking, and hold them there indefinitely, or at least long enough to make them rethink what they do. They are also destroying families,and justifying other major criminal acts, usually being committed by those placing them in their prisons to begin with.

There are, that I know of, 3 different ways to accomplish this, being a CURRENT victim of all 3 methods. First, is the ruse of the State taking over charges that are filed, then dropped by the victim filing those charges, in an effort to claim that a crime committed by the offender is now a crime committed against the state, effectively (and claimed) to "pick up the ball" where it was dropped by the victim, for whatever reason (such as being intimidated by the perpetrator, for example). Whereas this used to be used in legitimate circumstances, it is now being widely abused to get people THEY want off the street, using the dropped charges as reason to continue as the State.

Another way to do this is to add charges along the way to trial, or as you're being brought in on a minor warrant charge. This, of course, makes it more difficult for the person accused to get bailed out of jail before trial, and holds these people for a lot longer, supposedly to "protect" the American people.

A third and final way to do this is to just make up a charge entirely... then drop it right before trial, in order to jail those people that are a pain in their side. All three of these methods have been utilized against me personally, in order to keep me from exposing crimes committed against my state's citizens; and extra bonus, makes the jails and prisons, and well as the state of Iowa, more cash in revenues. 

Now, before I lose my readers entirely, and get pinned with what some might call a "persecuted" point of view, I feel some much needed statistics may be in order. First, we in America are, currently the #1 country in the world... for the most citizens jailed per capita.

Locally, in the county I am currently jailed in, there were, last year, 15,076 inmates booked into the county jail last year, in 2015.  By the time January 26th came along, and I was arrested? I was number 1,110 booked in. You get that "Bullshit" feeling yet, where the number of criminals in just one county in Iowa are concerned??

Folks, Jails and prisons are a business, and laws, statutes and codes are the catalyst for that business. Rights are traded in at the time handcuffs are slipped on your wrists, and continue in until the you pay your fines and court costs. It isn't about fixing the problem, it only continues to add to it.

 Another thing that's important to mention as well, is that most of America isn't aware of the severity of this problem; or simply knows, and doesn't care. As long as it doesn't affect you and yours in the next class up, it's all good...right? "Good riddance to bad rubbish; let them look after their own."

For those of you new to this blog, I highly recommend reading the previous 7 posts of "Braving the Banjo". If nothing else, give them a good once over, skimmy style. You'll quickly realize how much, and how often they torture, fleece, and jail the lower class, as well as cast their nets wide in order to keep the cash coming in.

Let's get a good look now, at what the  average "criminal" goes though, start to finish, in the local county pokey of  Polk County, Iowa, where I and so many others are concerned. Before we begin, lets start by noting that the defendants in this jail (with the exceptions being the "worker pod" inmates) are charged room and board of $60 per day incarcerated; and the county receives about $142 per day to house each inmate as well ($300 a day for those awaiting the Feds to come and get them from the county, which could be upwards of 2 years, depending on who you are and how badly they want you).

LOCAL phone calls to others (debited from "money on your books") is taken at rates of  $3 for local calls (for 20 minutes), 21 cents a minute for non-local and long distance, and when you call long distance or local collect, it's one dollar a minute for a 10 minute call. Commissary (extras they don't give you) can't be gotten for upwards of 2 weeks, and prices are marked up as high as 400% (i.e. radios and headphones- $46; pencil erasers are 24 cents)

First, a complaint is made to the local police, and an arrest warrant is then issued. The police pick up their subject(s), and transfer them to the county jail. Most will transfer out of this jail to prisons, but some have endured stays as long as 4 yrs.

Upon your arrival here, the "booking" process can take as long as 36 hours.  The physical process takes all of maybe an hour, even including your initial "court appearance, fingerprinting, photos, medical interview, and the actual "booking in" itself. The rest of this time is spent in an all-cement 6'x10' area with one-way glass, with as many as 12 other people awaiting "booking".

There is no clock, no pencils or paper are allowed, you get a blanket, no pillow, no phone calls and your lights are in the 24 hour "on" position. Sleep, if achieved, comes in brief, cramped and uncomfortable spurts at best, and meals are about all there are to look forward to, as well as those times that the doors open and people come and go. For those guilty of a crime, this treatment is common and expected. For those who count in the ranks of the innocent, this is certainly hell times two.

Those lucky enough to get a hold of a friend or relative in their arrival or just after booking (where you receive a free LOCAL  call) may get bailed or bonded out, yet from cash down at the window, this process has taken as long as 6 hours. The actual time, from word of release to the outdoors? Takes about four minutes.

During the course of my two weeks here, I've seen 50 C.O.'s (Correctional Officers), 10 in Red shirts (called in for trouble-making inmates), 6 Sergeants, 2 Lieutenants, and 1 Captain. In this time, I've also seen, maximum, around 100 inmates. Tops, 150. The entire jail holds around 1,500 inmates, so it stands to reason that if I've only seen a 10th of them, that I've only seen about a 10th of the employees as well, putting the total number of those around 700. So why, if there's only 2 prisoners per employee would processing  inmates in/out take almost 2 days?  I refer you back to the $142 per prisoner per day for that.  There's that corporate feeling. The longer you process, the more money you bring in.  And lets not forget that "bill" you get for your pleasure cruise, at $60 a day. Lets do the math here. That's $202 a day...times around 1,200 prisoners a month, just the room and board is around $29,000,000 a year. Add to that the $142 a day per head in federal funds from our nation's taxpayers? $93,075,000. For one county of 99, and one state in 50. And that's if there's only 3 million in population, as in Iowa.

Now for some for the more harsh facts about jails and prisons. Law books and a library are available, but the waiting list is long. Often, by the time you get there, it's too late.  You are, of course, able to use your court appointed attorney for things (usually all us "victims" can afford), but getting them to do anything before your day in court is like pulling teeth. If you're in jail, as well as your own attorney, you receive no special consideration. The only identity you can claim in jail is "criminal pain-in-the-ass" who is trying to be difficult. If you get depressed, they won't even blink, the red shirt team will gladly strip you of your clothes and toss you into your own cell with nothing for 24 hours or more. Folks, I don't think it's understood that we are picked on the most, not only because of our inability to do proper battle, but also because we don't and often aren't allowed to stand up. The point is, you lose all the "rights" you may have, all respect you're due, and your good name the minute the cuffs come out. As a prisoner, innocent or not, you become guilty and sub-human instantly.

In case you aren't aware of it, how life is; all scopes are pointed down at ,the worker ants. We're the ones who built our civilization from the sewers up, who fight all the hardest and deadliest battles, in the streets, in the courts, and for our lives. Our families are destroyed and our children snatched from us, our fees, fines, interests and costs are astronomical, and our freedoms are attacked and deprived us most. The upper crust of humanity considers us to be no better than toe jam; they give us all the blame, and we roll over, shut out mouths and take it. They think us too dumb to understand and too weak to fight.

But our time, as well as theirs, is coming to an end. As ours comes to and end survival instinct kicks in. No longer shall we accept our forced upon roles of "victims" and "products" of the broken system. Used for our lowly paid, hard earned wages. Used as "statistics" to change things to be better for them and worse for us, and further their careers, in both business and politics, and increase their revenues. The time we endure the shit with our mouths firmly shut has ended. In case you're unsure as to who it is we'll step on and over to survive? I suggest you find a safe place to step back and get out of the way.
